Biography

Before working his way up to racing Modified Kart Darren “Hot Sauce” Hardesty Jr. raced Dwarf cars and JR1 Kart, where he was named Rookie of the year, and JR2 kart. 2015 brought with it another Rookie of the Year title for Darren, as well as the point’s championship in the Lucas Oil off Road Racing Regional Series. His success lead him to the pro level series, where he had further success and finished out the 2015 season there, earning his 2nd Rookie of the Year title during the same season. During the 2016 World Championships, in Wisconsin, Darren became the youngest driver to win a Pro series championship at the age of 16. Dominating the final race of the series, Darren jumped from third place up to a tie for first place, resulting in the overall win due to a number of wins Darren had compared to his competitor. Anytime Darren sits behind the wheel it’s guaranteed he will spice things up, as his nickname “Hot Sauce” suggests.
