Lucas Ashe of Cottonwood, California may only be 15 years old, but he’s already racked up an extensive career in racing. At age 11, after watching his first Red Bluff Outlaw Kart Race, Lucas insisted that racing was what he wanted to do. His parents bought him his first QRC Outlaw Kart that same week and his racing career began the next weekend. Lucas has traveled from California to Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Texas and North Carolina to race. 2015 was a huge year for Lucas, taking the win in the Open Intermediate Championship at Cycleland Speedway, as well as racing in 62 races total, over 46 weekends. Out of those 62 races, Lucas clinched 46 A Mains, 8 A Main wins, 34 Top 10’s and 23 Top 5’s. To add to the great year, he had 6 Trophy Dash wins out of 22 qualifications. Currently, Lucas’ Friday and Saturday nights are spent in his #33 Salco, Lucas Oil, and Champion Auto Parts Sprint Car racing up and down the West coast with Vandyke Motorsports.
