Q: Where did the race take place?

A: Dublin Motor Speedway in Elizabethtown, NC - June 25, 2016

Q:  What were some of the most notable activities from the weekend?

A: Well two things first. That day was my mom Allison's birthday and the following day was my brother Brandon's birthday. My brother is an integral part of our race team and he serves as the crew chief, so it was awesome to have both of them at the track that weekend. My mother doesn't always get to go because of the traveling involved with our racing. Regardless, being able to celebrate both of their birthday's in victory lane and in the pits after the race is amazing and was just a special night because of our team's family roots.

Another part was signing autographs at our apparel table behind the stands after qualifying. With us being in our home state, our fan base was well known and present at the track, and to get the support of so many kids and adults it just awesome for us. We were able to interact with fans by taking photos, signing and giving out hero cards, and just taking the time to talk to them. I know for a fact a lot of people had a blast because we were tagged in so many photos from that weekend on our Facebook page. We were also allowed the opportunity to pass out the #PartsMatter Sweepstakes cards that Federal-Mogul Motorparts had provided to us.

After we won the race, there were tons of fans and kids around our pit area. I come up with an idea that I thought all the kids would like. I decided to recreate the victory lane photo except instead of having the crew in the picture, we had all the kids around our pit area pose for the picture. I think they really liked that!

Q:  How did you do at the end of the weekend?

A: After qualifying second and falling back to fourth, I rallied back by the leaders on the outside with six laps to go and held on for the win. The feature was 40 laps long, and we led the last six laps.

Q:  Anything else you’d like to share about your weekend?

A: This was our fourth win of the season and paid $5,000. It was a blast to takeover Champion’s social media with #ChampionLive and even cooler to actually win "LIVE" for you guys!
