Biography

Bill Wise first discovered motorsports in high school about the same time he first got his driver's license.  It wasn't until college that he got his first opportunity to drive a racing car.  From that moment on it became an addiction.  

Early competition included the collegiate program Formula SAE.  Through 5 seasons of FSAE experience he gained design, fabrication, and driving skills.  The culmination of that being five Top 10 finishes in his final five competitions.  He then got his road racing license at the age of 24 with the Waterford Hill Road Racing association and began racing a Formula Vee.  In his first season he took the FV championship.  The next couple years saw him travel around within the neighboring Sports Car Club of America regions racing in Formula Vee and Formula First.  In 2011 he made the move up to the Formula Continental (F2000) class where he continues to race today.  His achievements include podium finishes in SCCA Majors races, the 2013 Great Lakes Challenge championship, and 2 lap records.

The on track competition has pushed him to keep improving and to keep pushing his own limits, not only the car's.  More importantly, it has given him the opportunity to travel, make new friends, and garner experiences that otherwise wouldn't be possible.  Racing has become so much more than simply driving laps and with the help of Champion Spark Plugs he will be able to continue to enjoy that passion.  For 2017 he will be continuing to compete within the SCCA as a competitor in the Formula Continental and F2000 classes.
