Biography

Heading into his 15th racing season, Kyle Michalek has made significant progress since coming from humble beginnings. Kyle was able to learn the technical side of the sport as a crew member for Mark Thomas's Alcohol Funny Car and Pat Dakin's Top Fuel Dragster. These experiences led Kyle to pursue driving. After racing in the Super Pro division at local bracket races for 9 years, Michalek Brothers Racing stepped up to Top Alcohol Dragster, the NHRA's fastest semi-professional class. This move would not have been possible without winning the inaugural Search For A Champion contest in 2012. Going into our sixth season together, the relationship between Michalek Brothers Racing and Champion is as strong as ever. Kyle and Michalek Brothers Racing both look forward to the opportunity to continue to represent the Champion brand as the MBR owned Top Alcohol Dragster makes its debut in 2017.  Kyle's career best quarter mile time is 5.29 seconds at over 270 mph.
