Biography

Hagerl Racing is a family tradition of four family members with many Championships under their belt. Amanda is our only female driver and is one of the few women drivers in the American Power Boat Association Stock Outboard and 45 SST OPC tunnel boat division.  After winning four National Championships in 2002, in the Stock Outboard division,   she was inducted into APBA’s prestigious  Hall of Champions —the eighth woman ever to be honored with this award in the history of APBA.   Amanda has won Junior and Stock Outboard as well as OPC awards and high points awards . She has won the B Stock Runabout Marathon National Championships three years in a row- 2012, 2013 and 2014.  

Amanda is also very competitive in the 45 SS tunnel class of the Outboard Performance Craft division. She has continually finished in the top 10 of a 22 member field in the 45 SST USF1 Powerboat series —all men except for two women.  She has earned a third and fifth place in the Nationals and a 2nd and a 4th in the North American Championships, and a 3rd in the World Championships, throughout her nine years in this class. Amanda is so very proud to have been awarded a second year in the Search for a Champion.
