I joined the Champion family in 2013. My favorite part about racing is IS TO BE IN DRIVER’S PARADISE “THE ZONE”. My ultimate racing goal is TO WIN THE 24 HOURS OF DAYTONA. Being on #TEAMCHAMPION is SPECIAL, BECOMING AN ASTRONAUT IS MORE COMMON.

Biography

Carl Rydquist, born in Goteborg, Sweden, is a sports car racing driver and a SAG-AFTRA licensed stunt driver who has won many auto races, the most famous to date the Zandvoort 500. In Rydquist's auto racing career, he currently has a victory in nearly one out of three races and podium finishes in two out of three Touring and GT sports car endurance and sprint races. Carl's breakthrough came in 2001 when he in a spectacular display of raw driving talent beat 1100 amateur and professional racedrivers in the Eurosport Super Racing Weekend gocart challenge. Rydquist still advanced in every elimination heat by lapping quicker than a dozen of top European pro racedrivers, lightweight gocart aces and every other car enthusiast and challenger, until he won the big trophy handed over personally by Peter Dumbreck (DTM, Le Mans). Two months later Carl received an invite to test for a pro team and he earned his first championship ride (Apex Porsche 911 RS). He won the Swedish Endurance GT class with the team that year. Since then Carl has scored numerous wins and podium finishes in Europe and in the United States. Carl resides in California since 2008 and currently competes in the United States Touring Car Championship and the NASA Endurance Championship, with intermittent appearances in the Pirelli World Challenge.
