Biography

18-year-old Carter Williams began his racing career at the age of six when he first started racing go-karts. Currently, Carter holds three National Championships, nine Regional Championships, and multiple local karting championships. Due to his academic excellence, good sportsmanship, character and his on-track performance Carter was the first recipient of the Lancaster Grand Prix Scholarship in 2013. Another scholarship was won in 2016 when Carter won the VMB Driver Development Scholarship. This Scholarship was made possible when he became eligible in 2015 after receiving the World Speed Motorsports Rising Star Award. Carter made his formula car debut in March of 2016 with World Speed Motorsports, driving the #55 new GEN2 FormulaSPEED 2.0 powered by Mazda. He was named the 2016 Formula Car Challenge Triple Crown national champion and vice champion in the regional series after driving to 5 victories and 14 of 14 podium finishes. In 2017 Carter is competing in his second season of the Formula Car Challenge in the FormulaSPEED 2.0 car, currently, with a win and a third place finish in Rd. 1 and Rd. 2 of the Formula Car Challenge.
